Shirley Plantation Foundation is partnering with the Library of Virginia, the Richard M. Bowman Center for Local History, and the Foundation for Historic Christ Church in a Genealogy Day at Shirley Plantation. Whether you are beginning to discover your family’s ancestry, or you need help on where to look next, this is the event for you. While descendants of slaves or colonists may have a special interest, this event is open to anyone researching their ancestry.

Each organization will give a presentation about what they do and how it applies to you in your search for more information on your heritage. Attendees will have the option to submit questions to the presenters for a panel discussion. Afterward you can speak with them one-on-one.

Admission for Genealogy Day is $35 per person, which includes a boxed lunch, access to the event, and the grounds. Please make reservation on our website www.shirleyplantation.com.

If you’d like to stay for a Guided House Tour at 3:00 or 4:00, the additional fee will be $5 on 8-11-18.
