Baltazar de la Cruz Rodriguez is a member of the Alcaldía Indígena of Cotzal, consisted of ancestral authorities dedicated to promoting Ixil culture, identity, rights and the defense of the regions natural resources and territories. The talk will focus on recent efforts by Maya indigenous communities in resisting mega-projects in Guatemala.
