Starring (and produced by) your host for the evening, burlesque artist and chanteuse GRACE GOTHAM, this monthly show at Sid Gold's Request Room brings back the banter to burlesque a la Gypsy Rose Lee, Sophie Tucker, and Fannie Brice -- with a little Lucille Ball and Grace Kelly mixed in. Always the gracious host, Grace emcees the evening accompanied by pianist CHRIS JOHNSON and treats you to two top-drawer burlesque guest stars each month. Grace Gotham is a NYC-based, international burlesque performer, producer, and chanteuse who is currently featured in the Dove beauty campaign, "My Beauty My Say." She has performed internationally and, in fact, won the title "Queen of the Lake 2016" in Italy's Como Lake Burlesque Festival and is currently the official World Ambassador to the festival. Grace has appeared in the pages of Marie Claire and The Wall Street Journal, as well as on Vogue.com, Cosmo TV, The Sartorialist for AOL series, and as a guest on Oprah radio. In addition to turning up the heat on stage, Grace also does so in the kitchen as an avid cook. Chris Johnson is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, vocalist and arranger specializing in Harlem stride and New Orleans piano styles. He is a member of The Gotham Easy and educational rock band The Deedle Deedle Dees. Over the years, he has performed in clubs, concert halls, theaters, synagogues, churches and dives and has played with musical luminaries such as Roy Nathanson and Patti Smith.
