As part of The Learn-Move-Grow Project, parents at Sioux Falls Lutheran School are invited to participate in a free cooking class at the Minnesota Avenue Hy-Vee!
Channel your inner ninja alongside Registered Dietitian Kristin Sousek to learn how incorporating spices in the kitchen can help strengthen the body and mind. We’ll prepare a black bean-smothered sweet potato and other spice-filled recipes, which contain antioxidants and help to boost immunity.
This event is free and open to all SFLS parents. However, attendance is capped at 30 individuals, as space in the Hy-Vee Community Room is limited. Each cooking class participant will take home a free gift bag of spices. Watch your email for sign up details.
This cooking class is sponsored by Learn-Move-Grow, a partnership with Avera, Sioux Falls Lutheran School, Hy-Vee, and Ground Works.
About The Learn-Move-Grow Project
Sioux Falls Lutheran School is partnering with Avera, Hy-Vee, and Ground Works for an exciting new project designed to keep kids learning, moving, and growing. The program is all about promoting healthy brains, because we know that nutrition and movement directly affect a child’s learning, concentration, sleep, behavior, and overall health.
