Sophia will take you through some of the staple exercises to keep your core strong enough to protect the lower back and spinal cord. You will learn the correct posture and gentle strengthening exercises to create a stable trunk to hold the spinal cord in place. We will also address common muscular imbalances that can lead to lower back pain through stretches and strengthening exercises.
Next, Jen will move you on to some gentle "nerve flossing" or "nerve gliding" stretches. Instead of stretching from both ends simultaneously, your sciatic nerve will prefer you to be a bit more delicate. We'll work through a series of take-home, rehabilitative stretches to address our nerve mobility, putting one end on tension, the other on slack then reverse - literally "flossing" the nerve to "loosen" it up. If performed as often as daily, these stretches can lead you to a happier, pain-free life!
