Equally at home in the jazz and classical idioms, vocalist, recording artist and author, Erica Papillion-Posey is not to be missed on any stage.
In 2016 she performed her break-out role as Clara (Summertime) in the award winning, Aurora Fox Theatre production of Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess”. Ms. Papillion-Posey has recently released her sophomore recording, From the DEEP — June 2017 which was accepted for 2018 Grammy nomination.
The Louisiana native’s 2015 debut recording, The Standard Reimagined, when jazz… a nostalgic, torch tribute to the era of the elegant, timeless jazz siren, was co-produced by bassist and educator, Ken Walker and was accepted for 2016 Grammy nomination.
In 2014, Ms. Papillion-Posey was named a semi-Finalist to the Paris Opera Awards, 2013 she was named a Continuo Arts, Milton Cross Young Artists Winner after being named the organization’s Rising Star Young Artists Winner in 2012.
Ms. Papillion-Posey earned a Master of Music degree and Advanced Certificate in Vocal Performance (both with honors and distinction) from the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music. She also holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Joining Ms. Papillion-Posey will be the incredible keyboardist Scott McQuade and the marvelous Upright Bassist Matt Hayes!
