On Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30 PM, the Ride of Silence will begin in North America (actually...it typ. begins in the south Pacific in New Zealand or Australia...) and roll across the globe. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways.
2018 is the 14th Anniversary of the Grand Rapids Ride of Silence.
We encourage bike shops, government and affiliates to send ambassadors as a way to show your support in remembrance and to raise awareness that we all need to share the road.
Join us at 6:30pm at 6th Street Bridge Park (North Monroe & 6th Street, Grand Rapids, MI) for sign in and a brief presentation. The ride will depart at 7pm, and will include a short stop at John Ball Park and will end back at 6th Street Bridge Park.
Official after party celebration location will be announced shortly.
Hosted by the Greater Grand Rapids Bicycle Coalition.
Helmets are Mandatory, lights are recommended but not required.
