SixTwelve is proud to present the work of Peter E. Roberts, our current SixTwelve resident from Savannah, Georgia. His art, "HEADCASES (OK!)" portrays iconic Oklahomans who were leaders in innovation, industry, music, art, sports and more in his mixed media, graphic and sometimes humorous style.
Earlier in 2018, Peter travelled to OKC to work with children in our Spring Break Urban Farm and Creativity Camp and his projects were a hit! He returns for part two of his residency the first week of May and we can't wait to introduce him to our community. The opening of this exhibit will take place at SixTwelve (612 NW 29th Street) Friday, May 4th from 6-9pm, and will be up at the SixTwelve Gallery at Tower Theatre the following day, May 5th through June 28th. Please join us for this FREE event.
This residency is a part of the SixTwelve pilot residency exchange between Oklahoma City, OK and Savannah, GA that we have organized for the past three years. Each resident that we have worked with from both cities is given housing, a stipend for their time, a travel stipend and connections to other artists and organizations in the host city so that they will have all that they need to create a body of work and to give something back to the community in which they are working. Applications for the full residency program will be posted on our website later in 2018.
