Join us on Thursday, April 26th for The Joy of Wine Dinner, featuring a 5-course menu inspired by the history of Napa Valley's award-winning Rombauer Vineyards! The evening will be hosted by Rombauer's Jeff Papa and the Skopelos Culinary Team.
If the name Rombauer sounds familiar for something other than great wine, you might be thinking of the cookbook that was on your mom or grandma's counter: The Joy of Cooking, by Irma Rombauer. This great food & wine legacy of the Rombauer family will highlight the night as you sip on 5 handpicked Rombauer selections while dining on 5 courses of inspired dishes. Paired with each wine course, the Chefs of Skopelos are selecting 5 different recipes from this legendary cookbook and putting their own personal, current-day touch on each showcased dish.
Rombauer's Jeff Papa will co-host the evening as he explains the wine selections and provides an inside look at the winemaking process, while also answering questions and participating with guests. Experience the true Joy of Wine philosophy -- that "the pleasure of wine lies in the sharing of it with family and friends" -- from the last bite of food to the last drop of wine.
Full dinner menu coming soon. Wine selections from Rombauer Vineyards include Cabernet Sauvignon (2014; 88 pts from Wine Spectator), Merlot, Zinfandel (2014), Carneros Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.
The price for the evening is $90 per person, plus tax and gratuity. All guests must be age 21 or older.
