Ever wanted to learn how to knit?
Take the first steps with us at Slow North, where Austin knitted toy designer, Susan Hay, will teach an introduction to knitting, suitable for absolute beginners.
Susan from Eight Little Fingers, who designs, knits and sells her adorable toys, will teach us the basics – simplifying the language of knitting! We will spend the first part of the workshop practicing the basics and you will leave with a picture guide of what we have practiced.
Susan will then lead us through the process of starting and finishing a knitted piece. To let you practice finishing skills, Susan will provide all of the pieces you need to make your own toy bunny, which you will complete before the workshop ends.
You will leave your introduction with everything you need to make your own toy bunny – including a ‘how to knit’ guide, pattern, knitting needles and a ball of yarn – as well as the skills and confidence to make your own knitted creations!
Everyone will be gifted a mini soy candle courtesy of Slow North + a 10% in-store shopping discount.
Light bites and Topo Chico provided.
