Promotorhead Entertainment Podcast #17
Discussion, interviews, and live performances featuring:
The Big Sway
The Big Sway is an experimental Rock'n'Roll power trio from Massachusetts, USA. Established in 2007, The Big Sway has since given over two-hundred fifty live performances, released three bodies of work, produced three music videos, toured the US East Coast, Canada and Puerto Rico, and has developed a loyal fan base in their home state of Massachusetts and beyond.
The Big Sway is known by fans for their highly energetic, tight and technical live performances, genre-defying compositions and tenacious DIY spirit. The Big Sway is a hard-working band, currently touring in support of their new full-length album "Ground Up," and looking forward to what the future may bring.
Be prepared for buzz-saw guitars over grooves ranging from crushing sludge to blistering grind, and hardcore-influenced vocals exploring uncomfortable but all-too-real themes. Vilanvs' entirely self-produced debut single "Virginia is For Lovers, Not Nazis" was recently released on the "Ending Silence" compilation by Wide Eyed Noise to benefit The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24. The band followed up "Virginia..." with a four-song EP "Gorgon" recorded at The Bridge Sound and Stage in Cambridge, MA with Alex Allinson behind the desk.
