"Bernadette Novembre: Melbourne's new voice of soul" - BEAT Magazine

Hot off the heels of her EP Launch, Bernadette Novembre is making waves in the Melbourne music scene together with her electric 8 piece band. Bernadette's music infuses blues with 1960's rock, indie beats and unique and punchy horn lines. The music is inspired by Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, The Kinks, The Beatles, The Supremes and more. The band have played at venues all over Australia including The Night Cat, Cherry Bar, The Evelyn Hotel, Bar Open, Open Studio, The Penny Black and FAD Gallery, just to name a few.

The band consists of some of the most sought after musicians in Australia and the music arranged by the amazing Sam Boon (Saskwatch, Fulton Street, Guy Sebastian) and Travis Woods (Horns of Leroy).

Your Sunday is about to get an indie rock infusion!

While their name is Russia they hail from Melbourne. When you hear them you'll know that their sound is an ode to the funk of old while forging a contemporary footpath weaved with pop elements. Hearing them, however, is only half the experience. To truly understand the power of Russia, one must put down the laptop, go to their show and be engrossed in a high energy charismatic experience. Gone are the days of the mild mannered shoe-gazers.

Now is the time of the front man.

Now is the reign of Russia.
