Poetry with music! Join us for SoulFood Poetry Night at 7:00 pm on April 19, 2018 at SoulFood Coffee House in Redmond, Washington. Tonight’s performance features the music and poetry of BAND OF POETS: John Burgess, Ted McMahon, Jed Myers, and Rosanne Olson—and possibly special guests. Tonight you’ll hear a song or two. Sometimes dancing. Expect ballads and hymns, political outrage, ghosts of the Beats, evocations of Whitman, edginess, and love. Please also bring your own poems for our open-mic reading.
