Are you a gymnast who is looking to develop their skills in a non-competitive environment? Maybe you want to add a little circus flair to your practice after being inspired at Fringe or perhaps it's just time for you to try something a little different?
The SA Circus Centre, the Home of Cirkidz are holding open auditions for our elite Performance Program. We are inviting gymnasts, dancers, martial artists, cheer leaders and anyone with previous experience who can bend, flip, soar or tumble to come along to our centre and see where the future of circus is being created.
Our Performance Program provides the best equipment, environment and mentors available to enable and empower students to become professional national and international touring circus artists. Our vision is to mentor young artists who are versatile, collaborative, autonomous and highly skilled.
So, are you a mover or a maker? We have several entry points that can help you decide where you fit in!
Movers: Stripped back acrobatic and circus technique without a performance context. These classes are suitable for gymnasts or other movers who are just beginning their creative development. These classes will be taught by strong technical teachers from circus, gymnastics and complimentary movement forms.
Makers: Apply physical skill in creative contexts. This could include building acts, small group devising or personal research with a focus on building small ensemble works for public performance.
