Part 1, Monday May 7th
Learn about the Pitta Dosha, the fire principle in the body. Learn signs and symptoms of "unhealthy Pitta" or when the body's fire "gets too hot." Pitta imbalances can manifest mentally as anger, impatience, urgency, resentment & jealousy or physically as digestive discomfort, loose stools, feeling warm, rashes, & inflammation. This session will leave you with lifestyle tips and tricks to keep your Pitta balanced and healthy throughout summer. This session will end with a 30 minute cooling and calming yoga practice & meditation.
Part 2, Wednesday May 9th
Explore Ayurveda's "Six Tastes" and how to create balance and optimal health using whole foods. Learn what kinds of tastes, foods, spices & herbs benefit and balance the Pitta Dosha. Discover how seasonal eating can increase your energy and help you feel grounded. In this session, we will taste and sample some Pitta pacifying Ayurvedic beverages; we will even prepare a cooling herbal tea that you can take home!
