The Spiti Valley is a desert mountain valley located high in the Himalaya mountains in the north-eastern part of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name "Spiti" means "The Middle Land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India.
It possesses a distinctive Buddhist culture similar to that found in the nearby Tibet Autonomous Region and the Ladakh region of India. The valley and surrounding region is one of the least populated regions in India and is the gateway to the northernmost reaches of the nation. Along the northern route from Manali, Himachal Pradesh or Keylong via the Rohtang Pass or Kunzum Pass respectively, the valley lies in the North East of the Indian hill state of Himachal Pradesh and forms part of the Lahaul and Spiti district. The sub-divisional headquarters (capital) is Kaza, Himachal Pradesh which is situated along the Spiti River at an elevation of about 12,500 feet (3,800 m) above mean sea level.
Lahaul and Spiti are surrounded by high mountain ranges. The Rohtang Pass, at 13,054 feet (3,979 m), separates Lahul and Spiti from the Kullu Valley. Lahul and Spiti are cut off from each other by the higher Kunzum Pass, at 15,059 feet (4,590 m) this specialized photographer will be there to supervise you to acquire intensely and beyond the usual frames of the Mother Nature. The tour is planned to give the participants enough time to explore the destination and learn the different techniques of photography. Short treks will also be organized. Each day will end with a discussion related to your clicked photographs.
Don't miss the golden opportunity to learn Astrophotography, Landscape photography and Photography techniques, tips and tricks.

Nimit Nigam: I'm a 29-year-old self-taught photographer and NiSi Filters India ambassador based in New Delhi. An avid learner, my thirst for something more than paints and canvases landed me in the field of photography and I started clicking frames instead of painting them. The journey of gradual learning and exploring through this new fascination started in the 3rd year of my graduation which still continues. I click a varied number of subjects which include landscapes, portraits, festivals, Astro (Stars and Galaxies) etc. I also won many awards, competitions and several blogs have been published. My work also featured on Space.com, National Geographic Traveller Romania, Etihad Airways, Lonely Planet India, Nikon, Creative Image Magazine, What Digital Camera, N-Photo, Smart Photography, Better Photography, LG Mobiles and 121Clicks.com. I also Judged National and International photography contest. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art Education from Jamia Millia Islamia University.
Why Me? Well, I have been travelling to Spiti for past 4 years now and have conducted more than 10 tours in these last 2 years. Not only I travelled but also explored most of the untouched or non-tourist places in Spiti. And I would like to give all these moments which any first-time traveller dreams of regarding Himalayan Valleys such as Camping and Bonfire under a billion stars or waking up in the morning next to a lake and witnessing the best sunrise ever. Even playing games in evening around great Himalayan Terrain and cooking your own food (which is not mandatory though). Once, I dreamt that I am lying down on green grass and seeing innumerable stars and shooting stars. well, last year I actually lived my dream and now I'll help you too to live your dream. So come and join me if you love my work and want to know how to document any place like a traveller or a photographer.
Be a traveller or photographer but the motive is same. Live your dream.
