Last weekend's late March snowstorm forced the necessary decision to cancel the Saturday night dance. Like the 12"+ snow total, the cancellation was historic - never had a previous ring dance in 84 years been cancelled due to snow.
The Class of 2019 Leadership Team is pleased to share that through a collaborative effort between the 2019 Ring Dance Committee, the Division of Advancement, and the Division of Student Affairs, Saturday's dance Ring Dance 2.0 - There's Snow Place Like Home will be re-scheduled for Thursday, April 5, from 8-11 PM in the Squires Commonwealth Ballroom. Our team hopes to capture the essence of this valued Hokie tradition for those that were not able to originally attend on Saturday night.
All issued Saturday tickets will be honored at this event including any will call requests.
This change allows us to accommodate more Juniors so we have created a wait list. If you are interested in attending the dance on April 5 and DO NOT have a Saturday ticket, please add your name to the LIST https://virginiatech.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1S2YOctUXpyDisd no later than Friday, March 30. We will accommodate as many requests as possible first come, first served, but due to fire code regulations we must maintain a safe attendance capacity. You will be contacted by Sunday evening, April 1 (no fooling) by email with additional details and confirmation.
