Our workshops are geared towards prospective, beginning, or intermediate farmers interested in raising poultry flocks (layers and/or broilers) free-ranged or on pasture.
During this day-long workshop, participants will get familiarized with several aspects of pastured-poultry production, especially poultry processing.
The workshop’s teaching approach is focused on participatory learning and will alternate between presentations, case/”scenario” discussion, and Q & A sessions. There will be a hands on workshop on processing chickens.
The day will also include networking opportunities with other beginning farmers! Lunch will be provided and a light breakfast will be available in the morning.
