Conflict and Resilience: Perspectives on the Global Refugee Crisis

Conference speakers from the Iowa United Nations Association will present information to help participants understand the global context of refugees and immigrants and hear stories from those rebuilding their lives in Iowa. Social workers are positioned to provide critical assistance as these newcomers navigate the economical, educational, social, political, and religious norms of Iowa.
CONTINUING EDUCATION This conference meets criteria of the Iowa Board of Social Work Examiners for continuing social work education for a maximum of 6.0 hours. St. Ambrose School of Social Work is a licensed provider of social work education through the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation and will grant a maximum of 6.0 continuing social work education.
