Holy Communion with foot washing & stripping of the Altar.
Candlelight Vigil in the chapel Garden of Gethsemane until midnight.
On Maundy Thursday, we remember Jesus’ last supper in which he served his friends by washing their feet and gave the mandatum: “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you should also love one another." (John 13:34) During the liturgy, we will participate in foot washing, the sacrament of Holy Communion, and the stripping of the altar. After the liturgy, worshippers may pray in the chapel and keep vigil in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament for one-hour shifts until midnight.
**Worshippers are invited to bring donations of new adult-size white tube socks & Dr. Bronner's soaps for donation to Sedona Area Homeless Alliance.
