Do you know what healthcare treatments you would and would not want if you could not speak for yourself? Do your loved ones know what your wishes are? Things can happen at any time, to any of us, and it’s important to be prepared.
Join us on National Healthcare Decision Day for this free event to receive information and tools to talk about your wishes with family, friends and healthcare providers, and complete your written advance directives (healthcare power of attorney and living will).
Hear Edward Burns M.D., an internal medicine physician with special interests in hospice and palliative medicine, give a 45-minute presentation entitled, “Advance Directives – The What, Why and How of Advance Care Planning” and ask him your questions at one of the following times: 10 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. Free valet parking and light refreshments will be provided.
Space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged. To register, call 314-ANTHONY (268-4669).
Note: The informational portion of this event will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 6 p.m. There will be a break from 12 to 1 p.m.
