Please come join us for our 5K for Katie Run & Fun Walk at St. James in Basking Ridge on Thursday, May 17th at 5:30 pm. All proceeds will benefit the Katie King Foundation in Basking Ridge. The foundation was set up to help 10-year-old Katie King and her family offset the mounting expenses associated with her cancer treatment. Katie was diagnosed in August with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that only affects 200 kids and young adults per year in the U.S.

If you can run, walk, or make a donation, please help support Katie and her family by registering or donating at:

Katie King is an amazing 10-year-old girl, an avid athlete who loves to play lacrosse and soccer. She was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing Sarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer, on August 23, 2017. She had surgery August 18th to remove two tumors on her spine but the cancer had spread to other locations... lungs, spine, pelvis and bone marrow. She was lucky it was discovered that night or she most likely would never have walked again. Katie is now undergoing aggressive chemotherapy and radiation at CHOP in Philadelphia. The Katie King Foundation was established to help the King family with medical bills, along with travel expenses to and from Philadelphia. The Men of Charity was formed in 2008 to engage in charitable service to the community at large.

The members of the Men of Charity have been engaged in numerous service activities including clothing drives, volunteering at soup kitchens, and coordinating home repairs. Additionally, through their fundraising efforts, the Men of Charity make donations to individual families in time of need.
