Christine Ellis on the Work of Reconciliation
Reconciliation is an essential part of being a Christian. The vision for reconciliation is a future of openness where the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of this country will be restored to a place of equity, dignity and respect. Christine Ellis is the Reconciliation Action Plan Coordinator for the Anglican Church Southern Queensland. The goal of the Reconciliation Action Plan is to “turn good intentions into measurable actions that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to achieve equality in all aspects of life- a goal which benefits all Australians. Christine will explore these ideas the stories of the RAP project and the part we can all play in reconciliation.
Join us for a time of prayer and reflection in the Lady Chapel at 9:30am followed by morning tea before moving to the Darnell Room for the presentation and discussion with Christine.
