Please join us! We will be giving a brief presentation about the MBF Child Safety MattersTM (grades K-5) and MBF Teen Safety MattersTM (grade 6) programs that will be implemented in our school in the fall. These programs teach children to spot and respond to bullying, cyberbullying, child abuse, and digital dangers. The goal is prevention.
Childcare (including Pizza) will be provided with a reservation beginning a 6PM.

What exactly is covered in the curriculum? The programs cover personal safety, bullying, cyberbullying, all types of child abuse, digital abuse, and other digital dangers. They are designed for students in grades K-6 and are based on the latest research. The curriculum
focuses on teaching children to rely on Safe Adults for support.
How are parents involved? Parent involvement is key to the success of this program. Each lesson in the program includes materials to read and activities for parents to do with their children. In our presentation, we will discuss how parents are involved before, during, and after each lesson.
Why does St. Mark’s need to be involved in a prevention program? Research shows, and St. Mark’s agrees, that everyone benefits when children are safe. Children who are safe have higher grades in school, have better attendance, and enjoy healthier, happier, and more productive lives. Join us for this safety presentation to learn why St. Mark’s is committed to this program. We look forward to answering your questions.
Every child deserves to be safe!
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 12 at 6:15 pm in the Commons!
