Fancy a peak at a privately owned stately home? then pop along and learn more about the history of this family home built by the Cave family in 1697. Enjoy a guided tour which will take you through the heritage and upper floors of this Grade 1 property.

Marvel at the history, the fortune and downfall of the descendants, enjoy the artwork and sculptures and treat yourself to a cup of tea and our homemade cake. Afterwards, enjoy the grounds, take a walk along the banks of the River Avon or the Serpentine Lake, linger in the Rose Garden or enjoy the visual delights of our working kitchen garden. If you fancy another slice of history, then seek out our Percy Pilcher museum, The Flying Machine. Dedicated to the aviation pioneer who sadly crashed one of his prototypes in 1899 and subsequently died of his injuries at Stanford Hall
