Gastric ulcers are a common and widespread condition
affecting horses of varying age, breed, condition and use.
Gastroscopy is the endoscopic examination of the stomach. It
is an important tool for assessing gastric health and is the only
method for diagnosing gastric ulcers.

Dr Annemarie Cullimore will explain the process of the examination and perform a live demonstration highlighting visual indicators used by veterinarians.

Annemarie graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland
in 2003 before migrating to Australia. During her time at The
Animal Hospital at Murdoch University she completed a three
year specialist training programme in equine medicine and
surgery, passed the ACVIM board specialist exam in large
animal internal medicine and completed a research Master’s
degree focusing on Inflammatory Airway disease. She is now
a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal
Medicine.
