Holy Roman Emperor Rudolphus II, better known as "The Wizard King," reigned from 1576-1612 and was an influential figure in both art and science. Employed by The Wizard King as composer, Carolus Luython fell from prominence promptly after Rudolf's death and his music has been forgotten ever since... Until now. With new scores transcribed by musicologists Nick Johnson and Carmelo Comberiati, this music is brought to audiences for the first time in four centuries.
