First Light is a collaboration w/ Steam Bell Beer Works & Roastology Coffee to be released on National Beer Day (April 7th).
On April 7, 1933, Americans were able to buy, sell, and drink beer again for the first time in 13 years. While prohibition didn’t officially end until the ratification of the 21st amendment later that year, this was the beginning of the end of prohibition. Happy days were here again!
First Light represents the light at the end of the very long, dark tunnel that was prohibition. This is a hybrid style of beer, mixing the characteristics of an American blonde and American stout. It’s medium bodied with a golden/straw color and was fermented over Nicaraguan cocoa nibs and Roastoloy whole coffee beans for a robust/roasty flavor, reminiscent of an American stout.
Come by Steam Bell and have a beer with the founder of National Beer Day!
South of James will be playing live from 7:00 - 10:00 and Gaucho will be there selling their original South American eats!
