Young at Art Creativity Camp - Photographing Light

Ages: 9-14 years
Cost: $160/week per child
*scholarships and multi-child discounts available

Class Description: In this action packed class we will study the roll light plays in photography as we explore the natural environment. We will be using a variety of light sources including sunlight, flash, soft boxes and even glow sticks to create fun and exciting images with our digital cameras. We will also be learning about camera functions and learning how each setting on a digital camera works and the unique properties it can bring to a photo.

Materials: Please bring a digital camera, such as a point and shoot, iphone, ipad, ipod, tablet, or smart phone. If your child does not have access to equipment like this please let us know and we will provide a camera during camp.

Teacher: Christy Carter made her way to Colorado in 1996. Christy has always had a passion for the arts and will try her hand at just about anything, but photography has always been a favorite. Christy studied at the Art Institute to receive her degree in photography and could not be happier now that she is surrounded by art and artists daily.
