The Future of Publishing returns this year to Centennial College, and we're thrilled to bring you an incredible line-up of panellists. Join the Publishing Program at the Story Arts Centre on April 6th, 2018 for an engaging and provocative panel discussion with:

Gillian Fizet, Director, Frankfurt Book Fair features Canada 2020
Geoffrey Taylor, Director, International Festival of Authors
Bhavna Chauhan, Senior Editor, Penguin Random House Canada
Michele Melady, Manager of Collections and Acquisitions, Toronto Public Library
Sue Carter, Editor-in-Chief, Quill and Quire
John Intini, VP of Digital Content and Publishing, Rogers Media

Our aim is to explore some of the most pressing issues in a rapidly changing and evolving industry, including:

Paging Through: What are Canadians reading, which platforms are they consuming their content on, and how can publishers and retailers continue to connect with and reach their target audiences.

'Ear 'Ear: What does the rise in audiobooks and associated audio content mean for print media?

Leaving The House: In an era of technological saturation, are independent stores, literary festivals, and your friendly local library the solution for connecting with audiences?

Fresh Perspectives: What is a key problem in the industry that someone who is just starting out could start working on, and begin to address?

Minority Report: What are some strategies for including more underrepresented voices and perspectives, both within the industry, and in the content that we produce?
