Kinsfolk is an indie pop duo, formed in 2014 by cousins Dominik Demcak and Peter Cinkanic in Sobrance, Slovakia.
The band had released its first single named ‘Adelaide’ in October 2014 and immediately got the attention of the leading music media both in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
During the first two years of the band’s existence, the duo had been alternately living in both Slovakia and Denmark and played a number of club gigs in Slovakia, including a show-case festival in Bratislava, Waves BA.
It was just in the summer of 2016, when Kinsfolk settled in the town of Odense, Denmark. Subsequently, in September, they released the second video-single called ‘Will Wait For You’. It was recorded in Catesound studio in Bardejov, Slovakia, with Robert Geci and mastered in 301 Studios, Sydney, Australia by Steve Smart.
The band has released their latest single 'Cold Sea' on July 30, 2017, and played a couple of European festivals, including one of the largest festivals in Europe, the Hungarian Sziget festival.
