PEDAGOGY OF YOGA
HOW WE TEACH · HOW WE LEARN · HOW WE PRACTICE
Three Weekends of Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers
Facilitated by Morgan Andrews
PEDAGOGY OF YOGA is Studio 34’s new offering for anyone who teaches yoga or has completed a yoga teacher training. Each weekend will strengthen teachers’ abilities in three areas: communicating, sequencing and assisting. We will practice teaching yoga together and hone our skills through a curriculum of fun activities, provocative discussions and fully embodied learning. Each weekend is a stand-alone 20-hour module that includes three full asana and two extra pranayama classes, and trainees may sign up for one, two, or all three weekends to fulfill Yoga Alliance’s Continuing Ed Credential.
Weekend 3 • June 8–10
Assisting students is a powerful gift that can take many forms. Because everybody (and every body) is different, various people may want or need different sorts of assistance. This weekend will practice both hands-on and hands-off assists for asana, and we’ll get into the issues of intent, consent and ethics in the teaching of yoga.
$125/weekend if registered by April 16.
