Starting May 1, come get ready for summer activities with a six-week yoga series designed for athletes! This series is for athletes wanting to become more in tune with their body while improving overall fitness performance.
When: 7:15 p.m.
How often: Tuesdays, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and June 5
Why: If you’re training for a big event, a high school or college athlete, or someone who just loves physical fitness – come learn why yoga is the best recovery you can add to your schedule. Think yoga is boring and scary? Think again. We’ll focus on yoga basics, creating space to understand our breath and body, and the importance of using yoga to stretch and strengthen mentally and physically.
Taught by: Topher Thompson and Tonya Vyhlidal, both 200 RYT. Topher enjoys endurance sports, doing multiple marathons a year and is an Ironman finisher. He enjoys yoga for an active recovery. Tonya has a Master’s in Sport Pedagogy, has several fitness certifications and previously taught Yoga to the University of Nebraska Athletes from 2008-2011.

Investment: $89 per person member / $110 per per non-member
Max #: 10

Week 3 – Yin Yoga (longer held poses to improve mobility, injury prevention, and flexibility)
