The CCDC is a local group of West African drumming enthusiasts who have gathered, studied and shared their love of the Mande traditions of drumming, song and dance for the past 20 years. Under the direction of Kevin Munro the group performs at festivals, fund raisers, farmers markets, marches and rallies in our area. The CCDC has also hosted public classes with a number of artists from Guinea and Mali in order to broaden their knowledge as well as introducing their teachers to the greater community. The groups’ repertoire grows, and with the interest in other drumming traditions and styles of music the CCDC has developed some original pieces fusing their eclectic musical interests. Bring your dancing feet, clapping hands, smiling face, and join us for an evening of fun and be prepared to move! Good for the soul and fun for all ages.
