Radiation is fascinating, is it not? As complex as the mechanisms behind it are, the legal questions surrounding the issue can seem quite complex as well. That is why ELSA Helsinki provides an excursion to STUK – the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority in Finland! If you find environmental law, energy related legal questions, or the actions that a state can take during a crisis interesting you should definitely join us!
The event will be held in English and Finnish by the legal team of STUK. The topic of discussion will be “Nuclear or Radiological emergencies; consequences and protective actions”, “Abnormal events in the use of radiation in Finland and consequences from them” and “Law: Responsibility and sections”, of which the last part will be held in Finnish.
This event will be held on 12.4. at Laippatie 4, STUK premises. The event is a part of ELSA’s International Focus Programme (IFP week) week focusing on environmental issues this year.
Registration for the visit is NOW OPEN and will continue as long as there are vacant positions left. Register here:
The participants will be chosen on a first come, first served basis. Should more people sign up than there are places, precedence shall be given to members of ELSA Helsinki. If you are not yet a member, you can join here: https://holvi.com/shop/elsahelsinki/product/bb9962374d44a14cdf54616f2eebb5d0/
