Hello OR club BLM is looking to see if club members have any interest in volunteering for the Great Alaska Sportsman's Show?

If you are interested please contact Luise Woelflein at

The show takes place all weekend but we would be ask to volunteer during kids day (Saturday) for a two hour shift, and afterward having free access to the show (People can find out more about the Show here: http://greatalaskasportsmanshow.com/) .

More information about the event provided below by an e-mail sent to me by Luise (the women you would want to contact if interested. Her information will be included below).

"As I mentioned, we're looking for people to hand out scavenger hunt passports to people entering the Great Alaska Sportsman Show. It is mostly kids who participate. Volunteers will be standing inside the Sullivan Arena by one of the two entrances to the Show and handing out passports to
We give passports out at both entrances. I'm thinking people could sign up for two-hour shifts and spend one hour at one door, then switch to the other door for the second hour. (Same job, but change of scenery may be beneficial.)
I am going to be actively recruiting from now until I have all slots filled with firm commitments.
Is it too early to ask UAA students to volunteer?
Shifts are:
(15-min overlap between shifts is to make transitions more smooth. Last shift of the day ends early as anyone wishing to complete the Scavenger Hunt should have their passport by 7:30.)

Doing a shift means free access to the Sportsman Show on Saturday 4/7. (People with later shifts can come early; people with early shifts can stay after their shift is over.) People can find out more about the Show here:
I am going to be actively recruiting from now until I have all slots filled with firm commitments.
If students want to volunteer for a shift, they should email me directly with the times they're available and their cell number. (All volunteers will receive a staffing sheet that lists who is staffing when and their phone number. Having phone numbers means people can call each other if they're running late.)"
