Share your thoughts at a focus group meeting on how we can make the City of Sunnyvale more “Age-friendly.” Established by the World Health Organization, an Age-friendly city optimizes opportunities for health, participation and security, and ensures quality of life and dignity as people age.
The City is working toward receiving its age-friendly city designation and seeking feedback from the community to better understand what City residents want and need. If you’re a resident aged 50 or older, we invite you to attend one of our focus groups.
The focus groups will cover the eight domains identified by the World Health Organization that might influence the health and quality of life:
1. Outdoor spaces and buildings
4. Social participation
5. Respect and social inclusion
6. Civic participation and employment
7. Communication and information
8. Community support and health services
We'll ask you to share your thoughts and ideas on what the City should consider to help you age well and successfully in our community.
