The hips are a challenging area of the body for many of us. They feel constantly tight, but what you may not feel is that they're usually pretty weak as well.
Yoga is a great way to open the hips, but the challenge is in doing that without causing laxity in these joints that literally hold up the rest of our body! This workshop will dive into why our hips feel tight, why stretching is not always the answer, and how we can use yoga to strengthen all sides of our hips including our glutes and hamstrings. We can all use a deep dive into the hip joint whether as a student looking to understand your own body or as a movement teacher looking for ways to aid your students. This workshop is open to all!
