This special 90 minute class will focus on your mental wellness. We will broadly examin the 5 elements of wellness (physical, occupational, emotional, spiritual, intellectual), what they mean to us and why all pieces are crucial to our overall mental wellness. We will examine techniques for stress, anxiety and depression management, which include both pranayama (breath) and asanas (postures). A guided meditation and full body muscle relaxation will conclude class.
Bringing a journal to class is highly encouraged and handouts will be available.
Katherine Sargent is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from SUNY Oswego and completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Grounded By Yoga in Bloomfield, NY.
