Dynamic Aging, I Intend to Live Forever, so Far, so Good
Thursdays, May 3, 10, & 17, 1:30 – 3 p.m., Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 N. Monroe St. Don’t miss this inspiring three-week class by noted storyteller and author Joy Sloan Jinks. Ms. Jinks is a native Georgian, widely known for her leadership skills and speaking ability. She has received the Governor’s Award in the Humanities for her contribution as the founder of Swamp Gravy, Georgia’s Folk Life play and is the author of the book Dynamic Aging, I Intend to Live Forever, so Far, so Good. Her mission is to change the present views about aging and her philosophy is that the retirement years are the “best time of life.” Ms. Jinks will be using stories from her own experience to illustrate the major influences in her life - her faith, and the psychological/social principles called “Social Artistry.” Audience participation and interaction in the workshop method will be encouraged. $5 donation per class (50+) / $7 (others). Limited space is available and classes fill up quickly. For more information or to register, email Maureen.Haberfeld@talgov.com or call 850-891-4033.
