Mindfulness Morning

Still Saturday
Facilitated by Veronica Ellis from Mindfulness Connected Learning.

This mindful morning is suitable for those who are completely new to mindfulness and for those with some experience.

During the morning we will explore what mindfulness is and how it translates into real life. Whilst this morning will be mostly experiential you will have the opportunity to explore, discuss and ask questions relating to mindfulness and how you think it might be of benefit to you. Mindfulness can be life changing. However it is often misunderstood and misrepresented. During morning, Veronica, from Mindfulness Connected Learning will be there to iron out these misconceptions and clarify any misunderstandings about what mindfulness is, how we practise it and how it can be of benefit. She will also talk about the science and research that proves the effectiveness of mindfulness as a way of living a more balanced and healthy life, as a way of managing stress and nourishing happiness.

During the morning we will explore both formal and informal mindfulness practices including:

· walking meditation,
· sitting meditations,
· mindful movement,
· eating meditation,
· the bodyscan,
· shorter practices for busy lives.

Every participant will receive a CD and practice guidance notes. Anyone returning for a second time will receive a second practice CD to help develop your further home practice.

An important element of this workshop is how to integrate mindfulness into our everyday lives.

If you want to give yourself a gift of stillness, peace and fun on a Saturday morning this workshop is for you. Veronica, from Mindfulness has a vast experience of teaching adults, children and adolescents in a variety of settings over many years and is committed to sharing the benefits of the practice in a way that is meaningful and relevant in our busy lives.

Veronica will also be running an 8 week course at TDR starting in September (details to be confirmed). Anyone attending this workshop will receive an early bird discount if they sign up to the 8 week course before the announced date (this will be notified to you for priority enrolling).
