This semester, Teach First NZ: Ako Mātātupu is collaborating with the Arts Students’ Organisation (ASO) to run an Essay Writing Competition, which is open to all students at the University of Auckland! The winner of the competition will receive $100 in prize money, as well as $150 to donate to a school serving a low-income community of their choice in New Zealand. The winning essay will also be published on Teach First NZ: Ako Mātātupu's website (https://teachfirstnz.org/stories/).
In order to enter, write an essay in response to this question:
"This systemic lever, if pulled, could provide a good quality education for all students in Aotearoa." What would you change about the New Zealand education system?
The following requirements apply:
1. You must be enrolled at the University of Auckland (as either an undergraduate or postgraduate student)
2. The essay submitted must be 1,000 words long (a leeway of +/- 10% will apply, and any footnotes are not included)
3. The essay must be submitted to https://goo.gl/forms/WwPwL0D2rFTzvg8w1 by Thursday the 19th of April at 5pm (just after the Easter Break!).
