You will be making the popular Leather Traveler's Notebook with an inner pocket which is perfect for anyone who loves writing, doodling, sketching, and journaling! You can store your favourite cards and notes in the inner pocket!
No experience in sewing or leathercraft is needed, just bring yourself. You will be taught by leathercrafter and our very own Sarawakian Co-Founder, Saran. Delicious refreshments will be served by our friends at Tedboy. This workshop is limited to only 8 pax, to ensure more one-on-one student time so confirm your spots quick!
This 3-hour workshop will guide you on crafting your own luxurious Passport-Sized Leather Traveler's Notebook with a handstitched (woah!) inner pocket:
-Pattern-making, where you'll be able to create patterns for other leather cover sizes
-Techniques on making clean cuts on leather
-Hammering holes to thread elastic bands on the spine of the leather cover
-Fixing a pen holder for your leather cover
-Burnishing the edges of your leather cover to give a smooth finish
-Learn how to use a prickling iron to create holes in the leather for handstitching.
-Learn the traditional saddle-stitch method to hand-stitch leather. This might be the hardest part, but trust us, you are going to appreciate your finished leathergood!
-Personalisation on how to stamp onto leather. You may choose to stamp your name or your favourite inspirational quote.
-Add a little Borneo love, with Sarawak's Lun Bawang handcrafted beads on the spine of your Leather Traveler's Notebook.
You will bring home:
-Your very own handcrafted and personalised Leather Traveler's Notebook cover with a handstitched inner pocket, yay!
-One passport-sized Midori blank paged notebook
