If last month's movie, "Marooned" was realistic, according to many people involved, this month's movie is pure fantasy. We shall be watching "Apollo13," the story of 3 astronauts who become marooned in space when their orbiting ship malfunctions. It did not win any awards, but it does star Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, and Gary Sinise, and was directed by Ron Howard. "Marooned" also starred James Franciscus as a fellow astronaut who works feverishly to figure out a way to save his friends, while "Apollo 13" stars Ed Harris as a fellow astronaut who works feverishly to figure out a way to save his friends. Even though it is completely unrealistic, (according to reports, and thus fits into our Science Fiction format), it has an excellent script and great acting.
Furthermore, an interview with the wife of one of the actors from "Marooned" directly inspired the writing of "Apollo 13."
So, if you came last month, you should definitely come again this month to watch this movie as a companion piece. And if you did not come last month, you should definitely come this month as this seems to be practically the same movie!
