Author and editor John Harrison will discuss his new book, "Dead In Good Company: A Celebration Of Mount Auburn Cemetery."

About The Book: Mount Auburn, one of America's first garden cemeteries, is the resting place of many famous people, a magnet for migrating birds, and a treasure trove of architectural and botanical delights. Over 55 authors, poets and photographers have contributed to this wonderful compendium. It is copiously illustrated with beautiful photographs of the wildlife in the cemetery.

About The Author: John Harrison graduated from Bentley University and then served in the U.S. Navy with the Navy Security Group. Returning to civilian life, he founded Epilog Enterprises, a book distribution company, fro which he currently serves as President. His passion for nature ultimately led to the idea for this book. His photographs have been published by Mass Audubon, the Humane Society of the United States, and Project Coyote in CA, and have appeared in books, magazines, newspapers, and websites. Additionally, he initiated and has authored the Medford Wildlife Watch blog for The Medford Transcript newspaper since 2009.

Doors to open by 6:45pm. Q&A and book signing to follow the event for those interested. Limited to 50 seats. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. This program is a part of the library's '100 Authors In 2018' initiative to host 100 local authors in 1 year.
