Vegetable gardening is something everyone can enjoy, from the novice to the experienced gardener. It can be a way to bring fresh food to your table, a way to teach children where food comes from, or even a way to beautify your yard! Come learn about different types of vegetable gardens and explore layout, variety choices, and growing techniques.
About The Presenter: Susan Hammond is a Lifetime Master Gardener with the Massachusetts Master Gardener Association. She’s been gardening since childhood, with a special focus on edible plants. She is the past keeper of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s 6000 square foot Garden to Table Vegetable Garden, and one of the founders of the new Medford Food Pantry Garden, growing vegetables on the site of an urban food pantry while teaching volunteers and the public about vegetable gardening.
