Title: Codes for distributed storage from 3- and 4-regular graphs
Abstract: A distributed storage system is constructed by means of the path decomposition of a 3-regular graph. The paths represent the disks, and the edges of the graph act as the blocks of storage. We deduce the properties of the distributed storage system from a related graph. We will explore the role of 4-regular graphs as well as the optimality of the construction. This leads to a discussion of cage graphs which are regular graphs of fixed girth with the minimum number of vertices.
