Festival of Debate Closing Party: 100 Years of Women's Suffrage ft. Helen Pankhurst & Hollie McNish

In association with Wordlife & Verse Matters.

To close Festival of Debate, we’ll be celebrating 100 years of (some) women’s right to vote. Helen Pankhurst, granddaughter of Sylvia and great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst, will do a Q&A based on her book, Deeds Not Words, with Dr Kate Taylor-Jones from the University of Sheffield. This will be followed by poetry sets from the Ted Hughes Award-winning Hollie McNish, Salena Godden, poets from the Verse Matters Collective and music from Before Breakfast & Girl Gang DJs.

Tickets: £10 Standard / £8 Concessions

This event is one of a number of events at the Festival of Debate on the theme of Culture, Self & Identity. Events in this strand have kindly been sponsored by SIV Tickets.
