Join us at The Aeolian for a special night of songs and stories with three of our closest friends!
The Aeolian’s relationship with Tony Dekker and his band Great Lake Swimmers has grown significantly over the past ten plus years of working together. Not only has the band repeatedly sold out the venue year after year, but Great Lake Swimmer’s critically acclaimed sophomore album Ongiara was recorded inside The Aeolian Hall.
In January of 2017, Great Lake Swimmers returned to London to cut yet another album with The Aeolian, this time at the Aeolian education Campus at Cronyn, a former Anglican church on the corner of Queens and William thought now houses The Aeolian’s El Sistema program. This new album is expected out in the Fall of 2018. Every time Tony returns to The Aeolian is like a homecoming. There is something magical about hearing songs in the same space they were originally recorded in.
Joining Tony Dekker will be London’s own Sarah Smith and Marty Kolls. Neither are strangers to the hall having both performed several successful headlining concerts at The Aeolian in the past.
All proceeds from this event will go directly to El Sistema Aeolian and help support The Aeolian’s mission of providing universal access to music education for London’s youth.
