This workshop is for those dogs that find approaching people and other dogs on-lead difficult. Behaviours may include barking, lunging or jumping all over other dogs. This is not a workshop for managing dog to dog aggression, but can help with on-lead frustration or nervousness. The course will explore why dog have difficulty when greeting on lead, using the most appropriate equipment, teach BAT Lead Skills (Behaviour Adjustment Training, Grisha Stewart), what to look for in your dog's body language, keeping your dog calm on lead, how your emotions affect your dog, managing appropriate greetings on lead, attention and distraction exercises and how to manage off lead dogs approaching.

The workshop will take place over two sessions, two weeks apart. Please ensure you can attend both sessions before booking. Maximum of six dogs due to the nature of the course.

Please note - This is not a workshop to discuss dog to dog aggression, if you are unsure if this is relevant for you and your dog, please contact the Centre for further information.
